Tenet Texas will help fill this growing need with Centennial Medical Center, a comprehensive approach to health care. The Centennial Medical Center campus has opened with a 118-bed acute care hospital. Centennial Medical Center offers a broad range of medical services including a 21-bed Emergency Department, a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit, Women's Services, 12 Bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nursery, Diagnostic Imaging Department, four Operating Rooms, Physical Therapy and Telemetry. At more than 292,000 square feet in four stories, the first floor of the hospital is nearly five acres in size.
The 40-acre campus will also include two 72,000 square foot medical office buildings, with more than 100 physicians located on site. The medical office buildings will also house a Day Surgery Center.
Located on State Highway 121 at Coit Road, Centennial Medical Center is easily accessible. Construction is now underway to expand State Highway 121into a six-lane freeway with an additional six lanes of parkway from Highway 75 to Interstate 35. This expansion is scheduled to be completed in 2006.
The medical staff at Centennial Medical Center will affiliate with many medical groups in north Texas. The specialties represented will include breast surgery, cardiology, oncology, plastic surgery, open heart and vascular surgery, oncology, infectious disease, general surgery, pulmonary medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, women's services, and neonatal and perinatal services.
