Centennial Medical Center Names Calee Travis as Chief Nursing Officer
Centennial Medical Center has recently hired Calee Travis as Chief Nursing Officer. She will be responsible for managing nursing-related patient care divisions and serving as the chief expert for the hospital regarding professional nursing issues.
With more than 30 years of experience in the nursing profession, Travis brings a high level of expertise to the senior management team, gained through a diverse background of clinical nursing leadership. Before joining Centennial Medical Center, Travis served as a chief of operations and vice president of perioperative services for Memorial Hermann Hospital at Texas Medical Center in Houston. She directed several performance improvement initiatives while working there, achieving numerous quality-driven awards for the program. Prior to that, Travis also served as the chief nursing officer for the Medical Center of McKinney in McKinney, Texas.
Travis earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas Women’s University in Denton. She also attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and completed the Johnson & Johnson fellowship for nurse executives at Wharton.
Travis has just become a resident of Melissa and is excited to return to North Texas, a place she considers home.
