The volunteer program at Centennial Medical Center is a vital part of our organization because volunteers are an extension of the hospital to the community, and assist staff in creating the best possible experience for our patients and visitors. There are three key areas of volunteer opportunities available at Centennial.

Administrative
Volunteers who work in administrative areas of the hospital help keep their assigned department organized.

Patient Care
Patient care volunteers help the clinical staff in various ways to ensure our patients receive the best possible care during their stay.

Hospital Liaison
Volunteers who are assigned to hospital liaison duties help in our waiting rooms and information desk to ensure patients' and visitors' questions and needs are being met.

To be eligible for the general volunteer program, the following must be submitted:

• Completed and signed application
• Completed and signed background authorization form
• One letter of reference from a non-relative

Centennial's youth volunteer program that offers young people an opportunity to learn about the healthcare industry and the importance of volunteerism and dedication to an organization that is valuable in their future career endeavors. In that spirit, youth volunteers can donate their time year round.

To be eligible for the program, students must be between the ages of 16-18 and maintain a C+ average. In addition, prospective student volunteers must complete the following:

• Application (Must be signed by youth applicant and guardian)
• Most recent report card
• Two letters of reference -- one from a teacher, coach or pastor; and one from a non-relative

Applications are no longer being accepted for students who wish to volunteer in Summer 2010.

The pastoral care program at Centennial is near and dear to our hearts because these volunteers support our patients and their families in times of greatest need.

For consideration into the pastoral care program, please submit the following:

• Completed and signed application
• Completed and signed background authorization form
• Two letters of reference -- one from a pastor; one from a non-relative
